What are the issues that entrepreneurs can talk about with you?
All the questions that may be expected from entrepreneurs in both start-ups and small and medium-sized enterprises. We look at business concept, business model and strategies, and discuss alternative options for growth. We go through the various elements of a Business Model Canvas. We get into the detail of the enterprise’s cost structure and revenue models. We look at pricing and packaging of products and services. We discuss how to build your brand. We develop your vision and your objectives.

What can entrepreneurs expect from a meeting with you?
I want to see you succeed. I listen and ask questions and share my experiences. Together, we identify opportunities and choices. I act as a sounding-board, but also as a consultant, and always with the aim of you getting a clearer idea of where you are and where you should be. The aim is to create a stable platform, where you can feel reassured about the decisions you will have to take in the future stages of your business.

How would you like entrepreneurs to prepare for the meeting with you?
Think through what you want from the meeting. If you can, e-mail me facts and figures before the meeting, or have with you anything that you decide may get me up to speed more quickly with your, or your company’s, situation.

What feeling would you like entrepreneurs to take away from your meeting?
What I’d like is for you, the entrepreneur, to take from our meeting is enthusiasm for having got help with progressing further towards the objectives that are now clear to you. And that you have an action plan to activate.

Describe your strengths as a consultant
My spread of expertise and my proven experience of developing businesses, companies and organisations in several different sectors and of various sizes; from start-ups and micro-businesses needing help with everything from official registration and a kick-start with business plans and budgets, to small and medium-sized enterprises that have completed growth journeys, changes of generation and adjustments of both business models and organisations.
